Hand Crafted Log Homes

Hand scribing raw or machine logs is one method of manufacturing used at WWLH. All of our Handcrafted Log Homes are hand scribed and pre-stacked at our plant. We build the log shell, loft and roof system at our plant. We then clean or buff the logs of any marks created during manufacturing and apply a preservative. The preservative coating seals the log to help with moisture management and shrinkage control. The Preservative coating also protects the surface of the log from UV damage.

Once the coating is dry we number every piece of the log building and make a diagram of the structure including cross measurements to ensure the building goes back-up properly. Finally we disassemble the building onto flat deck trailers with stacks so that the last truck loaded is the first truck sent to you. Once the first truck reaches your site you literally start building your log home as the pieces come off the truck.

Construction at your site can be completed by us or you may hire a crane, and small crew and one of our craftsmen will direct the reassembly of your new home.
